Our School

Swindon is a key town in the M4 corridor with a wide range of manufacturing and service industries. The town has excellent road and rail links with the rest of the country. The town is still growing and there is a wide range of leisure facilities as well as many pleasant rural locations in and around the borough.

Lainesmead is situated approximately one mile from Swindon town centre. The catchment area is a mixed urban one, mainly consisting of pupils from owner occupied homes and local authority housing.Lainesmead Primary School was formed by the amalgamation of Lainesmead infants and junior schools in 1995. The school was built in 1958 and has recently benefited from a large investment in capital which has made it a great place to work and learn.

Our school grounds are extensive and we have a delightful wildlife area, which includes an orchard, a pond and a community garden.
