Pupils recently welcomed their parents to school for lunch to celebrate National Curry Week.  This lunch is one in a long line of Community Lunches hosted by the pupils of Lainesmead throughout the year.

The school cooks served chicken tikka, vegetable bhuna and takka dahl followed by a mango sorbet for dessert.

"This is just like going to a real Indian restaurant." said Max Beauchamp of class 13.

"Yummy yummy!" said class 13 teacher Miss Brown.

"Nice and spicy!" said Mrs Aslam, mother of Hibah of class 4.

Our next communituy lunch will be Friday 27th January when the children will be celebrating Chinese New Year - watch out for details after Christmas.
